Happy New Year everyone! We survived 2020, can you believe it?
I am so ready for this new year and I know many of you are as well! It has definitely had its challenges, but there have been some ‘silver linings’ to this crazy year as well. I have created more than ever this year and have made great progress on all of my scrapbook projects. I hope you have been able to do some creating this year as well!
If you know me, you know that I love this magical time of year! It has always signified a fresh start, a clean slate, and a new beginning for me. This is the time of year when I like to reflect on the past year, and decide what’s working for me personally and in my Close to My Heart business, and decide what I want to change or do differently in the new year.
A New Website!
I’m SO excited to share one of the biggest changes that has been happening behind the scenes for the past few months! My website has gotten a facelift and has a brand new look for 2021! I can’t wait to hear what you think of the new site! I’d love it if you’d leave a comment on my blog and let me know. It has been a labor of love and I have to give big thanks to my web designer, Jen Smith, for all of her hard work! I truly appreciate all of her efforts and the time it took to refresh my website! One of the things I’m really excited about is the Event Calendar and new registration forms. You can now sign up for my crops and retreats right on the website! I hope you’ll go take a look and sign up for one of my 2021 Events today.
Make sure to subscribe to my blog, so that you’ll get a notification when there is a new blog post or event scheduled!
A New Creative Challenge for 2021!
Another new thing I’m super excited about this year is the NEW Weekly Creative Challenge I’m doing in my Scrapbook Cowgirl Facebook Group! If you haven’t joined our fun, creative community, I hope you’ll come to check it out. The NEW Weekly Challenge is called, ‘This is My Story’, and each week I’ll be sharing a ‘Story Starter’ journaling prompt that we will use to tell a story and create a scrapbook layout using at least one photo to illustrate our story.
This could be the most important scrapbook we ever create – the one about US! If you’re like me, you’re the one who’s always behind the camera and not in front of it. I am ready to tackle this project this year and make sure that my children and grandchildren know me and know ‘My Story’. I hope you’ll join us! Make sure to request to join the Facebook Group if you’re not already a member. I’ve shared all of the details in our group and have already issued the first week’s assignment, so come join us!
Thank you for sharing this creative journey with me for the past 22 years. I hope you have a safe and Happy New Year!
